I was inspired to become a family lawyer when I worked as a law student with the law firm, Smith, Graham, Hunt and Buck – my mentor, Richard Buck, was the leading family law lawyer in Kitchener, Ontario.
Priorities as a Family Lawyer
As a family law lawyer, I am focused on the well-being of the children of my clients. When there are breakdowns in family units, children need to experience the least amount of disruption in their lives.
In order for me to help my clients, I need my clients to help me – this means my clients and I work together to find solutions that are child focused.
Experiencing a family law matter is extremely difficult. It is important to know that you will get through this and things will improve, insofar as you are prepared to bring a best effort to move forward.
